1995-1996 Research on Gender Equity issues at Milton Academy. Study commissioned by Principal and Head of School.

1986-1987 Research for Qualifying Paper on Personhood among the Rungus Dusun.

1980-1981 Research Assistant to G. N. Appell, Ph.D. (Department of Anthropology, Brandeis University). Social anthropological field work conducted in Indonesian Borneo among the Bulusu'. Special attention given to the socialization of children, children's play and parental attitudes towards children in an area of rapid social change.
